Role Description

The Senior TechOps Administrator oversees the maintenance of our On-Prem Datacenters and Cloud environments, ensuring stable, secure, and scalable conditions for our customers. This role is proactive in monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and responding to incidents, queries, and requests. Given the rapid evolution of IT Infrastructure and Cloud technologies, the ideal candidate is naturally curious, quick to learn, committed to best practices, and focused on delivering results.

Qualifications

  • 6 to 8 years’ experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems on cloud providers.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure and application monitoring tools like DataDog, vCenter, Ops Manager, and New Relic.
  • Familiarity with service management and incident response systems like ServiceNow and PagerDuty.
  • Strong grasp of administering Windows and Linux Servers, Active Directory, and DNS.
  • Skills in PowerShell Scripting, Terraform, Ansible, MS SQL Servers, and VMware vSphere.
  • Practical knowledge of Citrix, VMware, Nutanix, iSCSI SAN, and storage technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud technologies, coupled with excellent communication skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Vendor Certifications such as MCSE, VMware, Nutanix, Azure, AWS, and Terraform preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • L1/L2 Support Responsibilities (70%):
    1. Provide Cloud admin support, primarily in Azure, including deploying virtual machines via Terraform/Ansible, implementing services, and managing Azure Active Directory.
    2. Manage Server Life Cycle Management from Build to Decommissioning.
    3. Offer VDI/AVD support for Citrix/Azure AVD environments.
    4. Perform Infrastructure Cleanup in both On-Premise and Cloud settings.
    5. Handle Backup, Storage, and Disaster Recovery Operations using tools like Veeam, Druva, ASR, Zerto, and Rubrik.
    6. Conduct Windows and Linux Patching across On-Premise, Cloud, and CloudLaunch platforms.
    7. Manage Event/Incident Management using DataDog and ServiceNow.
    8. Administer App Secret/Cert Management in Azure and IIS environments.
    9. Perform Refresh/Upgrades for OS, Firmware, Drivers, and HyperVs.
  • Day-to-Day Cloud Infrastructure Management (10%):
    1. Participate in managing the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure environments, including Deployments, Templates, Networking, Configurations, upgrades, App Gateway services, APIs, and CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Business Unit Collaboration and Deployment (10%):
    1. Collaborate with business units on new deployments, issues, and improvements to existing services.
    2. Assist development teams with integrations and identity enablement for SaaS or custom products.
    3. Deploy IaaS and PaaS infrastructure in Azure (Must), AWS or GCP (Nice to have) using Terraform (Must), Ansible (Must), or another Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
  • Additional Responsibilities (10%):
    1. Configure and manage Express Route and Subscriptions (5%).
    2. Develop and/or improve automation of tasks and infrastructure using established scripting tools and capabilities.
    3. Provide support for VMware, Nutanix, VxRail, and Data Center Operations.
