Job Description

Collaborate closely with QA and test engineering teams to identify potential candidates for test case automation within system smoke or regression test suites. Develop and continuously maintain automated test cases for both smoke and regression test suites. Execute these test cases, meticulously recording and analyzing the results, and promptly report any defects or issues using bug tracking tools. Conduct a combination of manual and automated testing to ensure the software consistently meets the highest quality standards.

Create comprehensive documentation that encompasses test cases, test scenarios, and test results, providing a clear and thorough overview of all testing activities. Keep this testing documentation accurate and up-to-date to ensure everyone has access to the latest information.

Effectively identify, track, and manage any defects uncovered during the testing process. Execute automated tests and rigorously analyze the results, ensuring their accuracy and effectiveness. Additionally, perform regression testing to validate that any software changes or updates have not introduced new defects or negatively impacted existing functionality.

Maintain a continuous focus on evaluating and improving testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall testing efficiency and effectiveness. Stay current with the latest industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing to ensure your approach remains cutting-edge and aligned with industry standards.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with software automation testing tools, such as Selenium.
• Proficiency in programming languages (such as Python, Java, or C#) for the purpose of test automation.
• A solid grasp of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Previous exposure to automated testing techniques and tools.
• A foundational understanding of database concepts and data structures.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively function within a team.
• Demonstrated capability to work independently while efficiently managing multiple tasks concurrently.
• Possession of an ISTQB certification or any other relevant software testing certification is considered advantageous.
